MTS file format on Windows Live Movie Maker 2011

Well, so far it seems that WLMM 2011 handles the mts file, so maybe this is an enhancement from the older version. When I tried to create/edit mts files in the older version, they were choppy...both within the WLMM program and when I saved them to a DVD movie.

In response to this question, someone replied that: "mts is apparently some wrapper for mpeg4 material". I'm not sure what that means.

The following is a list of supported file types in WLMM2011 help files
Windows Media Video (WMV) files
.wmv
Windows Media files
.asf and .wm
AVCHD files
.m2ts and .m2t
Apple QuickTime files
.mov and .qt
DV‑AVI files
.avi
Microsoft Recorded TV Show files
.dvr-ms and .wtv
MPEG‑4 movie files
.mp4, .mov,.m4v, .3gp, .3g2, and .k3g
MPEG‑2 movie files
.mpeg, .mpg, .mpe, .m1v, .mp2, .mpv2, .mod, and .vob
MPEG‑1 movie files
.m1v
Motion JPEG files
.avi and .mov

On another note, I did find Automovie, it is listed as Automovie themes
