Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit

the only difference between our laptops besides the brand is that his is windows vista and mine is the new windows 7. has anyone else had a similar problem and knows how to repair it?

Please try this for me, go to start run then type in cmd. Then type in "ipconfig" with out the "". It should show information like this.

Check to see if Default Gateway looks like this
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . :
or this
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . :
if it has or something near that then it should work but if it does not you need to set up a network connection on the laptop it's self
