Win7 Pro 32-bit, Win8 Pro 32-bit

Sorry to tell you this ... but you're probably going to have to face up to doing a Repair Install.

I did similar to you -- in that my motherboard got fried by a dying power supply. So, I replaced the motherboard, memory, CPU, and PSU. When I then connected up the old hard drive, I was amazed that Win7 changed over the drivers and appeared to work OK.

But over time, problems started to appear and, eventually, I went with a Repair Install -- and it's been fine ever since.
