When I open up CCC and select "Display Options", all I get is a Display Detection Option which lets me choose "Detect Whenever Catalyst Control Center is opened" and "Use manual detection only"

None of the resolution, forcing and dual monitor options that I was expecting to see.

When first viewing the CCC or when right clicking on the desktop and clicking on the CCC item at the top you should be in the advanced not basic and open up the digital panel section.

hey im using ATI mobility radeon hd 2400 XT..my problem is when i install win 7..the display setting cannot change to my ATI graphic display..WHYY??:cry:
anyone know where to get ATI mobility radeon HD 2400 XT driver for win 7???im desperate right now..

Vista updates as well as the 7 updates now available depend on which flavor of 7 you are running?! :D You first have to select the OS(7 32/64bit) and then in the next column "Mobility Radeon" followed by the "Mobility Radeon HD 2000 Series" at the ATI.AMD support/download site. Graphics Drivers & Software

9.6 won't install on my RC version of Windows 7. I have also tried 9.5 both give the inf was not found. 9.4 are the only ones I can get to install. Anyone else having this problem

wished it worked in 7, SUSE for that matter though
I noticed I didn't have the latest driver installed for my HD3870...DL'ed 9.6 and went right in, also solved some issues I was having w/ getting my 42" display to full screen. I just installed over my old drivers...no issue there.

Bought the Dell secondhand for cheap and upgraded cpu, vga, ram, soundcard, psu and HDD's.
If you have any 3rd party firewall or other protections running that would seem to be the only thing that would prevent the catalyst installer from removing the previous version on to see the newer one install. Otherwise those generally go on without hassle.

It's those pesky aliens :D ...

I had no problems installing 9.6 on my Saphire HD4870 Toxic, other than right after installation my browser would redraw everytime I hovered the pointer over one of the reply toolbar buttons :shock: :huh:!!! Fortunately that stopped after rebooting and everything is fine.

If you didn't restart following the initial installation that probably finished up when you started the system up again. That's when the drivers started fully loading the way they should. blackramair

The 9.6 was posted on June 15th and was just seen at the ATI support page meaning those are still in beta form at this time. The 9.7 will be out likely in few weeks if the beta version is already available for download.

That would be good for those having problems with the last few versions released and were ready for something a bit newer or simply want to look over any particular improvements to be seen in the next general release.

Here I didn't even need to update from the 9.4 a good number of people ran into problems with unlike the version that originally came on the software disk when the card was new. That's where I could have used the beta for the 7.10 catalyst due to the headaches and just about totally useless patch ATI came out with for the 7.9!

Bought the Dell secondhand for cheap and upgraded cpu, vga, ram, soundcard, psu and HDD's.
i had no problems installing in win7 7264 x64, i just extracted the rar and ran setup
what card do you have?
