Can you please supply the product number which you
should see on the bottom of the laptop.
For example: RQ877AS#ABA
Can you see something similar to this? It is
more than likely an issue with a driver and I will need the
product/ model number to look for drivers at the laptop manufacturers website.
Even if you have downloaded a webcam driver from the HP site, there may be
components you are missing similar to products contained within a Toshiba
Value Added Package (TVAP driver package) for example.
Also - is it a HP DV6000, HP DV6000T, HP DV6000Z ??
32 or 64bit OS?? What was on the machine prior to the Win7 Pro install?

OK - I've been sitting here for a good 15 minutes waiting for you to answer.
If you don't want to provide the extra info try simply going to
device manager, uninstall the webcam driver from the device manager- you
will find it under imaging devices. Reboot the machine and connect
to the internet and see if Win7 automatically finds the driver for you.
