It lets you boot up to Windows and log in with your user account and credentials that you already setup, on somebody else's PC. Then when you shut down and remove your device everything you did goes with you. Nothing is stored on the PC's internal drive and nothing is done to the installed OS. No trace is left behind, its like you were never there. You just keep the thumbdive in your pocket for emergencies where you don't have your laptop with you, or the PC is so messed up its installed OS won't load. I'd imagine you could repair a windows install and or run diagnostic if you wanted.
