I've been clicking through the Event Viewer for the last 20 minutes. Hard for me to see if there is something that could cause the freeze.
There are so many things I don't understand ...

By the way:
I am running the safe mode since about 2 hours without any problem.

If it is still running OK, go back to msconfig.exe and enable about half the the entries you disabled earlier. Reboot and see what happens. The idea is to find the startup program or service that is causing the problem by adding back the entries until you can find the offender.
You want me to restart it in safe mode or in "normal" mode? Where shall I try if it's freeze?
