Also for some check out post #65 for more tips, or here

[Guide] Xbox 360 Gaming Receiver Windows 7 Connection/Driver Problems
I've tried multiple usb ports and I've done a full uninstall/reinstall of the drivers probably more than a dozen times by now. I even took the steps in post #65 a bit further, editing the xusb21.inf file in the win7 driver to add the proper VENDOR_ID for the black knockoff receiver.

The existing ID in this file is for the MS official hardware (0719), and since the knockoff has a different ID (0291) Windows reads the driver as being incompatible with the device, which is why Windows fails to install the driver automatically when you plug it in. Editing the xusb21.inf file fixes this issue, but as the drivers don't seem to actually function with the receiver it's a bit of a pointless fix IMO.

Can anyone who has the knockoff Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver working on Windows 7 64-bit (the knockoff does NOT have any MS branding on it, and has a sticker reading 'XBHD' on the back) post a usb log file for me to take a look at? I'd generate the usb log file myself, but since the driver doesn't work for my device I get no output - an empty file.

Using any freeware USB Sniffer software (i.e. SnoopyPro) a user can see the data exchanged between a USB device and the driver software, and export that data as a usb log file.

Using this data, one can reverse engineer the existing driver and write their own customized driver for the device. Since that's really the only viable option I see available to myself at this point, I figure I may as well give it a shot.
How did that go ? any progress ? I have a white receiver with a "XBHD" sticker so assuming that'll be why no fixes seem to work under devices (xbox 360 wireless receiver for windows) I have both "xusb21.sys" and "WdfCoInstaller01009.dll" drivers. The receiver light flashes when the button is pressed and there's definitely nothing wrong with controller (used 2 different ones and both work fine on xbox).

Any ideas ? Lost several nights already trying to get this damn thing to work *sigh*
