Go ahead and run a sfc /scannow command to see if it may find and repair any corrupted system files.

Next, double check to make sure that the Windows Management Instrumentation service is set to started and automatic.

Afterwards, try the tutorial again to see if you may be able to enable getting dump files.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Did a sfc / scannow command and checked that Windows Management Instrumentation Service was set to Start and automatic, and retried the tutorial again.

But still no .dmp files showing up.
