If you have "difficult" DVD"s , then you can download and try the 21 day trial version of AnyDVD HD SlySoft AnyDVD HD. The download will be the latest updated one.

Right clicking on the AnyDVD icon on the system tray, you can only rip the full disc to hard disk (Folder) or ISO image.

EDIT: Before you write the ISO to an optical media, you can mount it on Virtual Clone Drive and check it plays OK.
