I have gotten SonicWall Global VPN Clinet Version 4.1.1.302 to run in
Windows 7 Beta 64-bit. The error I was initially receiving was something about missing dneg4x.sys. I found this to be a component of
Deterministic Networks DNE. Since I did an upgrade from Vista Home Premium 64-bit, SW VPN was partially installed.
Steps:
1) Uninstall Sonic Wall Global Client.
2) Download DNE at
ftp://files.citrix.com/dneupdate64.msi for 64-bit. There is also a 32-bt download.
3) Install the DNE.
4) Install Sonic Wall Global Client.
You should be back up and running. The one strange bug is when the client wall sends back the form prompt for user name and password. When I tab to password, the form mysteriously disappears. I found that if I tab and enter password real quickly and click okay, I do get a clean connection. I think this problem is with the version of SW since it was a beta 64 bit version and I have never gone back to see if they have a newer version.
