You know, I just didn't read your post very carefully before. But I'll point out, mostly for the benefit of people unfamiliar with SonicWALL, that NetExtender and the VPN Client are two different pieces of software. At one time I thought they were very similar, but there's lots of differences, including how/what they install.
This is still good info though, because while my NetExtender wasn't working I tried to use the Global VPN Client software to tunnnel straight to my firewall and still had problems installing in on Windows 7. There are apparently workarounds on the SonicWALL forums for this, but I gave up now that my NetExtender is working. |
