Windows 7.build 7000 update

1) download any Drivers Backup software, like DriverMax which is Free
(or grab it here: h__p://rapidshare.com/files/194969734/drivermax.exe.html)

2) boot your Vista or previous W7 which has working Intel drivers and "Export" your video drivers from your Drivers Backup Software, say DriverMax

3) boot to Windows 7.build 7000 and "Import" your drivers in your Drivers Backup Soft, like DriverMax
(or grab already exported for DriverMax drivers from here: h__p://rapidshare.com/files/194970262/855gm_vista_driver.zip.html)

ps. any hosting for these files will be greatly appreciated or PM me if you got DL issues

what windows build do you have? 6801?
after booting in safe mode, doing the manual install of drivers, did you boot your PC in "Disable driver signing enforcement" mode through F8?

i'm trying 6956 30 day trial

i tried manual and automatic in safe and in normal mode both with and without f8 boot option
got same results

btw same error i got in vista vlited version without builtin intel drivers and trying install xp drivers

so i think only posibility for me is to use vista builtin driver if its possible

EDIT: maybe i got some lame version o w7 wich has not all drivers

The downside of this method is that you have to disable signature enforcement check on startup. The alternative is to use the built in vista driver, which work fairly well in Windows 7. The only downside I am aware of is the poor OpenGL implementation. Then again, the chipset can't handle any modern games anyway, so it should not be a big issue.

I took the liberty to upload the driver to rapidshare.

Enjoy native LCD resolution.

shiroko could you plase post here you driver extracted?
I don't have a vista partition and I'd prefer not to waste much time to install vista just for the drivers!
your help will be very appreciated!

I signed up just to ask that question, lol. I've got a dell inspiron 700m with the intel 855 graphics chip. If anyone could post the vista driver imported from drivermax, it would be greatly appreciated!!!

I followed the steps. The drivers installed while in Safe Mode.

But when I restart, blue-screen. 0x7E on the intel display driver.

Anyone else seen this also?

Dell 700m Intel 855 GME driver. Tried both the last XP driver as well as the Vista driver linked previously.

Windows 7 Beta 7000 x86 clean install.

Same here, i get bsod'd on boot-up with those drivers. Now i'm just waiting for some kind soul to post the drivermax import from vista.

The linked directory in a previous post is the capture from Vista. I just tried it myself from my Vista partition. Same result. BSOD 0x7E.

Installing the xp or vista driver in safe mode would result in either of two things for me: bsod or driver being reverted to "standard vga compatible" when rebooting to "Disable driver signing enforcement" mode -- once in that mode, however, i'm able to load the 855 xp drivers successfully and set the lcd to native resolution without having to restart, BUT all is lost on the next reboot.

I wonder if drivermax does things differently...

Btw the vista drivers linked in post #8 came up as unsigned... was this the same for you? The xp drivers i downloaded from intel were signed.

Have you tried these?

1. Open Command Prompt (Run As Administrator)
2. execute that command: bcdedit /set testsigning no

It will permenantly set Windows 7 to be disable driver signing...

Good luck....
