run this for a min 5 passes or if poss leave running overnight
also run file system check from elevated command prompt
start>cmd.exe(right click run as admin)>type, sfc /scannow
this wiil check for any file corruption/errors
Also update all drivers/bios/chipset

Note: when updating drivers etc dont use win update go to manufacturers website for each individual components and download the latest software for your win version
Any way to point them in the right direction for detecting bios manufacturer for updating? Bios can be a messy thing.
