It doesn't run, you just install it, update, and enable all protection. It adds a little more protection. You can also take a snapshot of your browser in a clean state with it, so if you get another browser hijacker, you can revert it back to a clean state quickly, so you can possibly get to any other sites you may need to get to, if it happens again.
