Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 7601 Multiprocessor Free Service Pack 1

In the left hand panel just click on the slanting black arrow head against "Videos" and it will close the window on the right. What I am seeing in your screenshots looks perfectly normal! I'm not sure what part you say is not normal. If you compare the two left hand panes of your screenshots you will see different folders highlighted in both shots, that's what defines what you see in the right hand pane!
Try highlighting "Libraries" in the left pane having shut down all the other folders and you will see what I mean!. A folder is shut when the little arrow head to the left of the folder name is pointing to the right and is an open lined arrow head as whereas an open folder has a solid black arrow head!
