Guru's please read! PC continuously reboots...

Hello there all,

I have a very irritating problem on my hands which is very peculiar...

I have a fresh install of windows 7 ultimate. But... hehe.. MY PC KEEPS REBOOTING RANDOMLY! Its gotten to the point now where im about to throw it out the window. I could be doing anything and it will just all of a sudden reboot.

And to top it off, it reboots about 5-6 times after the bios has done its check, then reboots and goes back to the start of the check in bios.. then eventually it starts up. There is no set time that it starts rebooting. It does this at totally random intervals.

A friend of mine who deals in IT, thought it may just be the case that is causing something to go wonky. So we took it out the case, and booted the pc up. Low and behold.. it never rebooted once. So, we assumed it was the case giving problems. We then put it into another case.

We assumed the problem was solved, but it wasnt?!

We checked all of the following and tested:

Ram
CPU
Fans
Hard drives
All power cables
Power pack (550 w)

Im running out of ideas here? IF anyone could give some useful information, please help. Im unsure if this is a hardware or software issue, but i am sure it is hardware. Its a fresh install of win7, and anti virus is running. So its doubtful its a virus.

Thanks in advance
