Thanks guys. I may be wrong but Acronis and Macrrium are all about taking images of the hard drive. I just want to backup my Documents folder and be able to recover individual files from the backup. They don't appear to do this? I would also just like the backup to do an incremental backup as well, ie only files that have changed, rather than a complete backup each time. What would you guys suggest for that? I thought W7 backup does that?
    Thanks

Just backing up and restoring contents of one folder ??? Just use copy and paste to external USB drive. Cant take very long.

    TonyWilliams,

I use SyncToy for my data backups. Choose Echo mode. Works fast and correctly.

    Download details: SyncToy 2.1

I have 3 1TB and 2TB Drives that I make backup copies to and after setting up the file backup paths with just one click Karen's Replicator backs all the drives up in just minutes. It does take a while to get the program set up, but after that the data in the GUI is just a blur during file backups.
