    Unable to Create Restore Point - Access is Denied

    Running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and I cannot create a restore point. I've been trying to figure it out for about a month with no success!
    Create Restore Point is definitely enabled for my C drive.

    I ran an elevated cmd prompt to reset all permissions to default using the following command:
    secedit /configure /cfg %windir%\inf\defltbase.inf /db defltbase.sdb /verbose

    I have tried various vbs CreateRestorePoint scripts but Windows Script Host always gives me an "access is denied" code 80070005 error on this line:
    sOut = SRP.createrestorepoint (sDesc, 0, 100)
    Source: SWbemObjectEx

    Can someone please help me correct this problem? Thanks much!!

    Problem cured!

    Application rule in Outpost Security Suite was blocking script. I thought I had disabled OSS but obviously not. Problem is now fixed by unblocking. What an ordeal this has been yet something simple to fix.
