Backup Windows Live Mail Message Rules

How do you do this? I can backup accounts, messages and contacts, but nowhere do I see how to backup message rules.

On another note, is there a quick, free tool for backing up everything in Windows Live Mail?

    Thanks.

    Go to file
    Import and export.

On my version of WLM all it shows is an option to export messages or accounts. IIRC, message rules happen in the registry. Personally, I only back up messages via Windows Explorer. Account settings and rules are best saved with something reliable...like pencil and paper.

I just want to save the mail rules. Export does not permit this. How do I do that?

Discovered that KLS Mail Backup (http://www.kls-soft.com/klsmailbackup/index.php) allows this.

KLS Mail Backup - Freeware Outlook Express, Windows Live Mail, Thunderbird, Firefox backup Although the website says it will run on Win7 it does not mention Windows Live Mail. Have you tried it on WLM?
