    Protection and Restore Points

Was enjoying thread ... how to make a restore point which included how to post a capture ... thought I'd made a post but s/thing went astry and I can't find it so...
    a clean OP

    Look at this capture.
What is the diff between (C) (System) Off
    (C) (Missing) On

(Recently created a partition (E) to keep OpenOffice separate
it doesn't show on the capture but it's there!)

    Should 'System' be 'On'?
If so how to change from Off to On.

For the drives that are 'On' - viz (C) (Missing)
will Win 7 automatically create a Restore Pt?

    Hi

Try selecting configure on that same window.
You can have a look at your My Computer (Explorer view) to give you a better idea of which drive is which i.e. to enable or disable system restore.
Have a look at the following tutorial (credits and thanks to Shawn):

How to Turn System Protection On or Off in Windows 7

Just wondering about the election results in Oz
2 of the 3 independents gave backing to Labor giving it
the 76 seats required. they guarantee Supply and not to support No Confidence Motions,
and remain independent on all else.
