System Image ... new
Hi people :) If I want to create a new system image on my external hard drive, will it overwrite the old one, I made months ago? I'm using the free version of Macruim.

According to this, you can name the image. If that is the case, give it another name and you will not overwrite the old.

I have a couple of images on a external drive and they're not in folders. If I create folders and drag them in, will they be 'found'
when, or if, I come to restore them? or is it best to leave as it is?
I'll certainly make folders in advance for future ones.
Macrium used.
Hello kenC.
I haven't used Macrium much as I have Paragon so I'm not sure but I would think if you can point the restore function to the newly created folders for the restore it would be ok; have a look at the tutorial at the link below to see if it's covered there.

I wouldn't drag them though; I'd use the "Move To" function listed in this tutorial.

mjf - yes, I use Macrium and the Windows imaging. Good to know Windows works.
