    System restore malfunctioning?

    Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
Opened sys restore and noticed that the only restore points available are those created at times program uninstalls and Windows critical updates. No other points listed.
Went into task scheduler and checked all the settings. Set for daily creation of restore points and it is enabled. All other settings are good.
I did a manual restore point creation and it appears on the list of available restore points.
Just don't know what else to do for scheduled restore points to work properly.
    Thanks.

Go to System Protection at System>Advanced Tools and Configure more HD space for SysRestore points. I set mine to 20%+ on larger HD's.

Daily restore points will eat up the default disk space quickly.

Thanks for the reply. I just now set it and will let you know the outcome.
Mine was at 5% and correlated to 5.4GB. That's an awful lot of space taken to possibly cause restore points to not be set!
    Again, thank you.

    Mark,
You might want to consider using CCleaner to view and remove your System Restore points.

CCleaner is free and very highly recommended.
    CCleaner

In the left-hand side of CCleaner choose Tools and then choose System Restore

Why do you recommend removing the existing restore points?
(I do have CCleaner and it's a great program).

You jump to the wrong conclusion.

CCleaner will allow you to view you restore points.

CCleaner will allow you to delete restore points.

One of the ways of regaining some of the space used by restore points is to delete restore points that only you can say whether you will ever need them.
