Using Windows East Transfer for a System Image Restore ?
Having alto of minor but aggravating issues with my Win 7 Pro 64bit PC. I'm think of using System Image Restore to go back to a good copy/image dating a couple months ths ago. I do have a few new programs which I know I'll have to reinstall.
Question is if I run WET on my Win 7 system and backup to an attached usb drive...will I be able to restore all files/data/info from say today back to the image date July 31) like Outlook.pst...new program data files...pictures/docs...etc from the 7/31 image date until the present/current date of the image restore ?
This is what the help files states:
Which versions of Windows will work with Windows Easy Transfer?
You can use Windows Easy Transfer to transfer files and settings from a computer running Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7 to another computer running Windows 7.
Mostly concerned with files/folders not covered in the type of backup created with System Image Repair...but the other program files not stored in Documents/Music/Photo's Libraries...etc in Win 7 ?
