HELP!!! with Windows Backup and Restore

So everytime I go to Windows Backup and Restore and try to access the Manage Space or any other link that is on the computer with the little Windows Shield next to it, it opens Windows Explorer at the root drive. How do I stop that from happening and make it open what it is supposed to open? PLEASE HELP!!!

First, are you trying to backup, or restore? Have you previously backed up your PC and "created" a backup? IOW, does your main backup/restore window say "create backup" or does it say "backup now"? Also, what window is it "supposed to" open? It's looking for an external drive and if it doesn't find one it will display the root folder.

I have used this to backup before. I am trying to manage the space that it is taking up. The windows help says that if I click on manage space is will open up a program of another window with the option to view data file backups and even when I click on change settings it opens this window. Any thoughts?

Where is you backup file located? Is it on an external drive? If so, make sure it is connected and turned on. Make sure you can see the drive in "computer". If not, windows is not recognizing the drive. If it shows up in "computer" then it will certainly show up in your backup/restore window under "manage disk space". You may have to browse for it but it'll be there. Obviously, you can't manage disk space on a drive that isn't there.
