%SystemRoot%\system32\rundll32.exe %SystemRoot%\system32\VMCPropertyHandler.dll,LaunchVMSal "Windows XP Mode" "||31a59b7d" "NetBak Replicator"

just do not know how to get system schedules to understand this

I am not sure what kind of VM system you are running. But I know from my experience with vBox, that the virtual partition is defined as a file in the guest system. If I wanted to backup the system together with it's files, I only had to copy this file in the guest system.

Why not attach the VHD as a drive in Win7 under Disk Management and backup the files from there?
