| | Thanks for the help, just one question: I created a folder on my external drive to store my backups in. Then selected the option Manage Space under Backup and Restore your files and got the external drive listed but was unable to select the folder. So I am wondering does the software create its own folder? Thanks jack |

| | Jack I have a separate partition for my backups. System Image, System Restore and Backup and restore make their own folders. The back up software named is included with the OS. There are other great free Backup software like Macrium Reflect, that are used by many in lieu of the native Backup software. |
