Windows 7 will not let you delete individual restore points but you can use a 3rd party tool QRM Plus Manager.

if you use the disk cleanup utility, you can delete all but the most recent restore point.

my computer/ right-click the drive where windows is installed/properties/"disk cleanup" button (next to the pie chart)/"clean up system files" button/"more options" tab

If you disable SR all points are removed. You can make a new point immediatly, if you are sure the OS is ok.

+3 For CCleaner v3.00.1303 x64 which lets you cherry pick which restore points to keep and which to delete except for the most recent restore point.

Might as well join the fun 4 for Ccleaner

It must be done from an administrator account or run as administrator.
