    Paragon Backup and Recovery

This morning I have being practising with Paragon Backup and Recovery 2010 and I'm very pleased with it, you can burn a recovery bootable CD that works out side your OS to reinstall your complete OS from a backup archive. Paragon Backup and Recovery 2010 can also test your backup archive for integrity. I am looking forward to using this software on my new external hard drive after I have formatted it to NTFS.

Big thank you to Dinesh who put me on to Paragon

Ciara....most of the imaging apps work the same way (Acronis, Macrium, Paragon). What makes Paragon unique in this space (free) is the fact that it does differential backups from your last image. This is normally a feature reserved for the pay-for applications.

Today I made my first full backup with Paragon to my new external hard drive (that was delivered this morning), I find Paragon easy to use and fast !

Paragon backup is the slowest of all the three, miles behind the other two I have tried - Acronis TIH 2011 and Shadowprotect Desktop v4.

My experience put Paragon the slowest as well and also resulted in the largest of the image files. I found that Macrium was the fastest imager, and Acronis resulted in the smallest sized output file...but was just a bit slower than Macrium.

Hello Ciara, I agree Paragon is easy to use and fast. It is one of two backup solutions I use in case a backup may fail although Paragon has proven reliable thus far.

I noticed in your system specs you are using two western digital drives which makes you eligible to also use Acronis True Image WD Edition Software as a second backup solution if you wish to do so.

To date Paragon has never failed me and I love to play. Tried a few now and never looked back since. GL :)
