I have an ASuS notebook and I would like to reinstall windows 7 64 bits home premium. The rescue partition is corrupted. Where can I download the OS for which I own a license? I have seen that there are tutorials to install the image into a pendrive and install it from there. For short I want to download the OS image to use my license.

It seems like you might want to do a "better than new" clean reinstall with an Install DVD rather than use Recovery Disks which come loaded with the factory bloatware and useless factory utilities.

The installer is mostly driver-complete, with newer arriving quickly via optional Windows Updates. Any drivers then missing in Device Manager can be found on the Support Downloads webpage for your model computer or device. Clean Install Windows 7
Install updates and then programs slowly over time to gauge performance after each. Don't let any programs write themselves into msconfig>Startup as they become freeloaders on your RAM/CPU and can spy on you. I only allow AV and gadgets. Troubleshooting with MSCONFIG

I think buying a set of recovery disks is your best option. They will probably rebuild your HDD recovery partition first. I assume you either didn't make or have the option to make recovery disks when you bought the PC.
I would imagine anyone else's recovery partition or recovery disks are already locked to their PC.
My post referred to using the Win7 retail DVD to Clean Reinstall a factory install as most tech enthusiasts do, since OP had asked for just the OS.
Mike refers to Recovery Disks which can be ordered from your computer maker, however they contain the factory bloatware and utilities which can hamper Win7.
