system image backup failure - 0x8007001B

Recent install; Windows 7 performs well a System Image Backup all the way to the end or almost when it stops and tells me that SYSTEM IMAGE BACKUP has failed. Then it gives me the error code : 0x8007001B (The drive cannot find the sector requested) but it shows that 110 G have been used (for WindowsImageBackup) on my 2nd SATA HDD, disk D, the destination disk for backup. Of course, Windows 7 is on C. Both HDD are 500G SATA.

Nor Google nor Microsoft provide appropriate answers and solutions.

    Thx,

    z

When you did the install, did you have to reinstall your programs?

Good, that is the correct answer, to avoid installing again. Now, do this:
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker[2]=Performance Maintenance

If it shows errors, do it several times. It does not always fix it first shot.
