Windows 7: Why is scheduled system restore point running for hours?

Why is scheduled system restore point running for hours?

So using 25% of my CPU for an hours now, the scheduled daily system restore point creation. I can manually create a restore point in no time:

Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, clean install, upgrade disc

Two quick solutions
Disable the automatic point creation from the task scheduler
and/or
download and use the free macrium reflect to make images
