    Have you tried the CD/DVD boot route?

    I need to get some sleep but will check back tomorrow.

    Finally, restored the image with CD. Wasted 699MB...

    One thing to be noted that the first disc with the image was totally useless. When i inserted the 2nd disc and clicked finish, it asked me to browse for the image (which was on the first disc). I ejected the 2nd disc so as to insert the first disc but as soon as I ejected, pc rebooted and windows loaded.
    I had to copy the image on the first disc to my HDD and then continue..

    [QUOTE=EzioAuditore;1153685]Hey there,
    I'm to restore my system partition. I have it's image saved on two DVD-RWs.
    The problem as stated in the title, it's not reading the image file in disc 1, disc 2 is ok.
    I deleted catalyst driver which on the disc 1. Could that be the problem? I mean did the deletion of that file changed the file information table and so Macrium is unable to recognize that now?[/QUOTE
