Virus! No system restore available

    Hi,

    Im glad my post made sense to you. I think the fact that Asus can give you a path to safe and clean install is brilliant. That takes alot of your worry away.

    I agree with your manual backup of the vital files : its a small price to pay if you still have a few doubts.

    Please post back once you have your system up and running again, and dont forget that there is always help here if you need it.

    No worries. You are doing great! My only other comment, and I know I'm repeating myself, is once you get your machine set up the way you want with all your programs, etc, do a system image to an external hard drive and keep it in a safe place. If you ever have to fix a broke machine again you can do it in minutes instead of hours or days. Especially if you make a new system image every few weeks just to keep it updated. :)

    So not to beat a dead horse or anything, but i am un-aware of my external hardrives where abouts. Did anyone come up with another suggestion?
