Windows Backup

I have trying out Windows Backup, I done a full backup to an external drive and set the schedule to backup every Sunday.
What I would like to know when it does the Sunday backup will it be doing an Incremental or Full backup.
Or is there somewhere in the proceedure where I have to set it up to do an Incremental.

Thanks
jack

Your very first backup will be a full backup. Then on, all backups are incremental within the backup period. When Windows creates a new backup period, a new full backup will be made, and again, all backups will be incremental until yet another backup period is made. How do you create your own backup periods? You can't. Windows decides when, why, and how, a new backup period is started.

If you have the image box checked it will do an image as well.
I leave this box unchecked and create images when I feel the need using the "Create a System Image" on the left of the "Backup & Restore" screen.
