Need to reduce Office Mails Backup
I am using Microsoft Outlook 2007. My mails are > 1.5GB. I want to create a back up but first reduce the size of folders without losing any data. Is there any tip?

You could try these 2 stratgies:
1. Compact the PST (see image)
2. Use 7ZIP to compress the PST prior to backup.

Compacting the PST only makes it smaller, if it used to contain more email and they were deleted. It simply reduces the whitespace and makes the file smaller.
There is no telling how well your mailbox will zip. It depends totally on the files and the size of your messages. For example, if it's all text emails, than it will compress great. If it's all messages with zip attachments, it will hardly zip at all.
