List Restore Points Where in Windows 7 can I find a list of restore points? When I go into System Restore from the control panel, the only restore point listed is the one I created this morning. When I check "Show more restore points," nothing happens. Where are the restore points, and how do I selectively delete them--or, at least, view them? Thanks. | My System Specs |

If you have CCleaner installed, you can click on Tools in the left panel, then click on System Restore. That'll allow you to view as well as delete existing SR points. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Too many to describe... OS Windows 7 x64 pro/ Windows 7 x86 Pro/ XP SP3 x86 |

Thanks, all. CCleaner also lists only the restore point I created this morning. Where'd the others go?? | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell Studio XPS 8100 OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64 SP 1 CPU Intel Core i7 860 @ 2.8 GHz Motherboard Dell 0T568R (CPU1) Memory 8.0 GB Dual Channel DDR3 @ 664 MHz (9-9-9-24) Graphics Card nVidia GeForce GTS 240 Sound Card M-Audio Delta Audiophile 2496 Monitor(s) Displays Dell 2407WFP Screen Resolution 1920x1200 Hard Drives 977 GB Western Digital WDC WD1001FAES-75W7A0 (SCSI) Antivirus MSE, MalwareBytes Anti-Malware Browser Firefox Other Info Microsoft Security Essentials, Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird. One, you may have used the inbuilt disk cleanup utility- that has an option to delete all but the most recent SR point to reclaim disk space. Or a similar 3rd party cleaning tool.
Two, the space reserved for SR may be too small so all the earlier points got deleted to make way for the last one. You can adjust this space in SR settings.

I concur Defraggler removes all but the last if used too agressivly. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Hewlett-Packard/G62-107SA Notebook OS Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 7601 Multiprocessor Free Service Pack 1 CPU Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU M 330 @ 2.13GHz Motherboard Hewlett-Packard 1425 Memory 8 GB DDR3 Graphics Card Intel(R) HD Graphics Sound Card Realtek High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays Builtin Screen Resolution 1366 x 768 x 32 bits (4294967296 colors) @ 60 Hz Mouse Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 Hard Drives 250 GB SATA Hard Disk Drive 7200 rpm

Thanks, Bill2. I probably inadvertently deleted them.
Then how does one determine the appropriate size for a restore point? Is there a formula for this?
Thanks. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell Studio XPS 8100 OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64 SP 1 CPU Intel Core i7 860 @ 2.8 GHz Motherboard Dell 0T568R (CPU1) Memory 8.0 GB Dual Channel DDR3 @ 664 MHz (9-9-9-24) Graphics Card nVidia GeForce GTS 240 Sound Card M-Audio Delta Audiophile 2496 Monitor(s) Displays Dell 2407WFP Screen Resolution 1920x1200 Hard Drives 977 GB Western Digital WDC WD1001FAES-75W7A0 (SCSI) Antivirus MSE, MalwareBytes Anti-Malware Browser Firefox Other Info Microsoft Security Essentials, Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird.
