    Backup Error 0x8007007B

    Hi

I have been running the scheduled backups every week in the windows backup tool. This weekend I have suffered a few BSODs that so far have no re-occurred (System service exception and page fault in none paged area).
When I have come to run the backup it seems to get to the end and says completed system image of C: then errors and gives code 0x8007007B.
I have tried sfc /scannow as suggested by a few other posts and a chkdsk. I have also set the services to auto and started them. Sfc does report that there are some issues it was unable to correct however I'm not sure what they are.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get the backups working again as at the moment it seems to be running ok.

It's possible the error is a result of whatever caused the bsod's.

I'm sure its something to do with the PC's little burp over the weekend. I did post my dmp files at the time and someone told me one of the issues seemed to be AVGs IDS which I have removed.
I don't seem to have as many dmp files as there were crashes so I'm not sure if there will be enough detail in them but I have attached the output of the application.
Hope it helps shed some light on this.

Did you ever run driver verifier as he suggested in that previous thread?
That would be successful at generating more dumps, with more information.

Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable

Make sure you are familiar with the process before beginning it can make your system unresponsive, and you need to know how to revert back if that occurs.

I haven't run it as yet, I didn't have the opportunity over the weekend after trying to back things up. When I enable and reboot do I just use the PC as normal and see what happens?

That is the general ideal yes. The verifier will force crashes from anything it doesn't agree with generating specific dump files.

I've enabled it and managed to get a bluescreen on reboot.
Should I continue this on the original BSOD thread as I see this has been moved?

I'm thinking this is an extension of the same problem, so yes returning to the original thread is probably wise.
Also attach the new dumps there.
