Restore Windows 7 to different computer

Hey guys, this is something that I've been trying since windows 7 came out, with no success.

I tried many different software, even Acronis True Image using the Universal Restore, but none worked. The problem is that once windows is restored to a different computer, windows expects certain hardware to be present in the system, causing the BSD. The tools to repair windows didn't work, well I tried everything I could except one thing.

That is, to make an image of the hard drive while windows is installing, well just after the first reboot. But before trying on my pc, does anyone knows at what part windows installs the drivers? If they are installed after the first reboot, then It might be possible.

    Thank you in advance

Sysprep the HD first on the old hardware: Windows 7 Installation - Transfer to a New Computer

Or if you're already using an image, boot Paragon Adaptive Restore CD to prepare the installation to start up on new hardware.

Done! Thanks for the link, I had no idea It could be made so easily, my steps were

    1. Partition Disk,
    2. Install and configure win 7 (folders, disable services, shortcuts, software, etc.)
    3. Sysprep
    4. Restart
    5. Make image of disk
    6. Restore image in another computer!

I already tried twice and it worked flawlessly, thank you!
