Windows 7: Help...Windows 7 Backup Error 2155348269

I'm trying to create a system's image using Windows 7 backup. Backup ends with error code 2155348269. I've checked the event viewer and the problem appears to be that the Express Writer is getting the following error

Error-specific details:
Error: CreateFile("75DFB225-E2E4-4d39-9AC9-FFAFF65DDF06.xml"), 0x80070002, The system cannot find the file specified.

I've checked and this file is actually present where it's supposed be in c:\windows\vss\writers\system.

Maybe it's corrupted?

Any suggestions on how I can deal with this error? How can I get another copy of the problem file.

I'm having a similar problem with another file that backup can't find and yet appears to be there...it's a cache entry file in .....AppData\local\Microsoft\Media Player\Cache3218703. This causes Windows 7 backup to abort when I try to backup my Apps folder.

Any help would be appreciated
