Windows 7: Win 7 recovery disk

Does the Win 7 recovery disk contain system information that needs to be updated or does it just contain the basic installation information? In other words, do I need to create a new recovery disk on a regular basis to keep the recovery disk sync'd with my current system.

Just the one time recovery disk. Nothing needs to be updated.

As long as the Windows version number remains the same it doesn't need updating, when the newly released Windows 7 SP 1 is added to the current version the version number will change and then another recovery disk will need to be created.
