Is It Possible To Clone a Windows 7 Backup?

I have used Fastone Drive clone to clone my Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit installation from my Western Digital 1.5 Tbt HD to my 1.5 Tbt Seagate backup HD. Unfortunately when I tested the clone it will not boot up and I get a Windows boot manager screen written in Chinese and I have no idea what its trying to tell me or what has gone wrong. (Please see attached file) I tried cloning again with the same result. My original drive boots up fine. It has a C partition and another storage partition. In theory both drives should have identical sectors after the clone with the exception of the serial numbers and make and model of the HD.

Does anyone know what is happening or if there is a solution? Is it possible to clone Windows 7 or are there some anti-clone security features installed on Win 7?

    Your thoughts would be appreciated

    Kind Regards

    Chris

Have you cloned only C: partition or entire disk?

Use the free WD Acronis premium cloning/imaging tool, after reading its Manual carefully at the download link: WD Support

Thank you both for your thoughts. Yes I am cloning the entire disk and the Farstone Drive Clone confirm that the Clone has been created successfully. I will check with Farstone support to see if there is a solution. Otherwise I will check out WD Acronis premium. I have no idea why the boot up error message appears in Chinese.

    Kind Regards

Possibly because we've never heard of Farstone Drive Clone?
