    ssd backup / restore question

I have an SSD as my "C" drive.
I back it up to my HDD or drive "D".
I have used Acronis and Paragon to do this.

It takes an incredibly long time (6+ hours) to restore from HDD to SSD with either program.
I have done the trim thing (windows 7 x64) and it reports OK.
    I have 25 - 30 GB of data that I backup.
It takes under 10 minutes with either program to backup.
Restore operations from HDD to HDD used to take minutes.

Question: Is this restore time normal from HDD to SSD? Is this what I should expect under either package?

    Thanks.

Using Aconis True Image 2011, it takes about 25 minutes to restore my Windows 7 x64 Ultimate (about 45GB) to my SSD, OCZ Vertex 2..
I normally use another Windows 7 install on a standard hard drive to accomplish this but I have also used the Acronis bootable media as well.
I must say that I have only restored my system 4 times total, so far.

There is something not right there - and it affects both your backup apps.

Are you able to copy files from hd to ssd at good speed?

Restoring 25 gb takes me less than 15 mins with paragon - that is hd to hd ( I don't have an ssd )

You guys are confirming my thoughts. File transfers from HD to SSD seem to be OK. No excessive amount of time. Just this restore thing seems to be an issue - it doesn't appear to be an alignment issue. I must have something set up weird. You are confirming that fact. It doesn't make sense to have a recovery take this long.
