System files increased after WD backup?
I just completed a full system recovery and all went fine. I have files backed up on a WD My Passport SE. I'll reload those soon. My question is this, When I backed up files originally onto the Passport using WD's software, my laptop's system files increases by about 75GB - about the same size of the files I backed up. I'm not sure if that is the settings I used or due to the WD "continual back-up" software (where you just plug in the Passport and it automatically saves any changed or new files). I'd rather not loose disk space on my laptop just to back it up. Any thoughts on what caused the increase in system files would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, JFC
