    Win7 Clean install

I am trying to do a clean install of windows on my computer, but there is a lot of programs (mostly games) that i have downloaded and want to save. My internet is really slow and a lot of them took, no joke, 10 plus hours to download.
I have a second hard drive. So i was wondering if i move the program folder onto the second hard drive and then wipe my main and reinstall windows, will the programs still run with out having to reinstall or download? Any help would be nice. Thanks.

    Welcome
Two types of installs clean, which is the best by far. You lose all your programs and have to reinstall
There is also an upgrade install, you do not lose your programs. The final OS will probably not be as good as if you did a clean install.

Some may run from their .exe in Program file but most will need to be reinstalled.

Work through these troubleshooting steps to try to pin down the problem, test the system files, possibly Repair Install short of clean reinstalling: troubleshooting steps

Once you get a perfect reinstall, you can save a backup image so you never have to reinstall again: Reinstalling Windows 7
