Thinking of Wiping the dish

Hi, Question... Can I keep all my Music, Pictures, and videos well I wipe out the other things on my hard drive, I Have a compaq presario.. I know how.. Just wondering..

Perhaps. please upload a picture of you disk management so we know what we are dealing with.

Is everything you want to keep on the small D: partition, if not and all the data you need to save is scattered throughout the Windows 7 C: partition, no you will lose everything.

What exactly is on the D: Back-Up partition?

I think the recovery partition is only on there...

And I don't have too much space I don't have enough space to fit the things I wanna fit on there.
That partition takes 11 GB and that leaves 1 GB For me... And I have like 20 or 30 GB Worth of Info I wanna keep...

You can use this tutorial at the link below to shrink the C: partition to create unallocated space, that can then be used to create an Extended partition / Logical drive that you will be able to move the data you need to save to.


How to Shrink a Partition or Volume in Windows 7



If you do anything to the D: partition, you will not be able to recover the PC back to factory specs if you ever need to.
