I have an ACER PC and am capable of doing a "Clean Install". I choose not to since cleaning up the so called "bloatware" is not onerous for my ACER at least.
To do a clean install you need to get hold of an installation DVD or ISO and MS don't distribute them. Once you do a clean install you will probably need to readdress partitioning anyway.

ACER's typical default partition configuration is Factory Recovery; System Reserved; Windows OS; Data/user partition.
Once you have a new configuration you will or should be relying on imaging to get you back to any clean starting point.

Again a good image of the Recovery partition is well worth making.

I operate this way quite adequately.

Yes i know how old this thread is, but I just want to ask trix333ninja one thing.
Have you still got this computer [acer timeline x 4820tg]? If so, couldn't I ask you for image of its recovery partition [mine was deleted by previous user]?

You're in luck, because I do have all the recovery disks and the disk with just the software and drivers (what I think is what you want because my windows is in Danish). But I will recommend that you install a clean installation of win 7, without all the bloatware, and then get all the newest drivers from acer's own website (link below). And btw you still need the licence code that is on the bottom of the pc if it's still readable. You can grab any win7 disk, and use your own license code. I did that a lot of times.
Tell me if you still need some of the disks.

Acer drivers (link in Danish, page in English, don't know why. Just plug in model number.)
