    Hi, everyone.
My restore points are disappearing every time I reboot or turn off computer. I did cace2002 method, it didn't help. And I was trying what was suggested by computersplus : started Volume Shadow Copy and set it to automatic. Problem still exist. And I am not able to find backup service.

Hello krendel154, welcome to Seven Forums!

A quick question to start, are you dual booting with XP?

    Thank you for your reply.
No. I had Windows XP installed before and I did Student Upgrade to Win 7 Professional. There is only one C: drive but I didn't do format before installing Win 7(don't know if it makes any difference).

    Thank you for useful links.
I did increase Disk Space Usage for system Restore Points to 50 gb, it didn't help. Uninstalled antivirus, uninstalled ZoneAlarm, turned off Windows Firewall. Tried "Resolution 1", at the end got message:"System Restore completed successfully" but when I went to check restore points :"No Restore Points have been created". The same story with "Resolution 2". When I typed C:\windows\inf\sr.inf computer din't found it.
I have ISO DVD which I was using for student Upgrade installation Win 7 from XP and i did Repair Disc. Is it possible to do some kind of repair with these DVDs in order to solve this problem but I didn't create system image.
And one more thing: in Event Viewer>System I have error Event ID 25.

    Hello again.

If you have a full version Upgrade Windows 7 installation DVD you could do a clean install using one of the methods outlined in this tutorial at the link below.
Though as you're having issues since you went from XP to Windows 7 it may be best to do a complete wipe secure erase of the entire Hard Disk Drive and start the install process from scratch, have a look through the information presented in these tutorials linked below and be sure to post back with any further questions you may have and to keep us informed.

If this is any help I've managed to track down one of the scenarios that Event ID 25 relates to.

The shadow copies of volume C: were deleted because the shadow copy storage could not grow in time. Consider reducing the IO load on the system or choose a shadow copy storage volume that is not being shadow copied.

This message is typically logged if the system is experiencing high disk activity while a shadow copy is being created (attempted to be created).

Resolution: Right-click on the drive to see the drive properties. Under Shadow Copies choose Settings and set the shadow size to unlimited. Now the snapshot has room to grow.

I am so sorry, but I didn't understand.
    First:I didn't find Shadow Copies in Drive>Properties.
Second:I have ISO DVD which I created from ISO Upgrade files and used it to install Windows 7. Question: Do I have to reinstall XP and then install Win 7 again? Or I can do Clean Install Win 7 over installed already Win 7?
And one more thing. Just now I found that there is System Automatically created Restore Point after I reboot: "No restore points have been created on the computer".

Thank you for all your replies and helpful links.
I did clean install how was suggested in recommended links and restore system is working perfect now. There are no problems except of one Error in Event Log "Event ID 10". Probably you have some ideas regarding this error, if it is dangerous and how to fix it.
Thank you again for all your help!
