How often should I create a system repair disc?

I generally just set up the system make sure everything is as I want it and stable then make a repair disc.
If you are installing a lot of applications and removing them frequently I would say base it on that use.
The best repair is a return to that fresh install + setup state.

so as long as the drives are physically plugged into the same place on the motherboard nothing should change.

A system repair disc only needs to be created once.

A system repair disc is not a system image disc(s).

If you have repartitioned your drive, then a new System Image created using Windows Backup and Restore is definitely to be performed.

I recommend, if you haven't already, that you create a system repair disc which will fit an a normal CD.

Boot from the System Repair Disc and familiarize with the options there.

After you have created your repair disk check that you can boot from it correctly.

True. 32 bit repair disc for 32bit systems and 64 bit repair disc for 64 bit systems.

I was told that a pre SP1 repair disk will not work after SP1. A repair disk needs to be created after installing SP1.

I never ran across the problem.

Now if you have a pre-sp1 system repair disc and a sp1 system, you could test.
