    Error Windows System Restore (Solved)

    Hello,
For a couple of weeks, I've been unable to restore my system through the Windows System Restore.
When the operation is finished ,I got this message:

System restore did not achieve.Files and parameters system have not been modified.
Failure of system restore upon analyzing files system on drive C.The drive may be damaged.Try again after running chkdisk /R
The above text is my translation from French.
I ran the requested command and nothing changed.I ran WD diagnostic tool and my HD is ok.
    Thank you.

    Is safe mode working?
If it is you may want to give this a go.
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

It does not work in safe mode. The scannow command did not fix it.
    Thank you.

I used to get this problem all the time last year. Finally traced it to Kaspersky AV. Changed to Norton and problem gone.

I made a Windows 7 upgrade with Windows 7 SP1 DVD and that solved my problem.
    Thank you.
